Ems Win Home Opener
Four Emeralds pitchers combined in a four-hit; 13-strikeout effort to down the Boise Hawks last night 5-2 for Eugene’s first win of the season. The victory came in front of the home crowd at PK Park. Third baseman Phillipe Blanco was three-for-four at the plate with two doubles; Catcher Miguel Castillo was one-for-four, but had two RBI and one run scored.
The two teams meet again this evening in Eugene.
