Oregon State is now at the top of the Pac-12 standings with a 14-and-4 conference record.  Washington, the previous occupant of the top spot, dropped to second place.  The Huskies took two out of three from Washington State and are at 16-and-5.

Baseball “makeups” set for this week

Viking baseball had been scheduled to host South Umpqua for a Far West League double header Friday… but were rained out.  Those games are set for Wednesday, three pm at Jiggs Dodson Field in Florence.  They’ll make up a previously missed game against North Bend this afternoon at home.  Airtime on Coast Radio Sports is at 3:45; 1st pitch at four.

The Vikings have six games on four dates in all this week; the makeup this afternoon against North Bend; tomorrow’s regularly scheduled single game at Sutherlin; the double header Wednesday against South Umpqua; then wrapping up the week on the road again, this time in Coos Bay against Marshfield for two.
