MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) – Marc Gasol scored 19 points, Zach Randolph added 18 points and 12 rebounds and the Memphis Grizzlies solidified their hold on the final Western Conference playoff spot with a 109-99 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers last night. Damian Lillard led the Trail Blazers with 32 points on 8-of-21 shooting from the field.

LAS VEGAS (AP) – Sam Dower Jr. had 20 points and 13 rebounds, and No. 18 Gonzaga held its ground during a second-half rally to beat BYU 75-64 last night for its 13th West Coast Conference title. Gary Bell Jr. had 14 points and David Stockton dished out seven assists to send the Bulldogs to the NCAA tournament for the 16th straight year.

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) – Mike Trout and Albert Pujols each had RBI doubles for the Los Angeles Angels, but the Robinson Cano continued his torrid spring training in the Seattle Mariners’ 10-6 win yesterday. Scott Baker, trying to make the Seattle rotation, had his toughest outing in three spring starts. He allowed five runs – two earned – on five hits over three innings.

RENTON, Wash. (AP) – The Seattle Seahawks have re-signed tight end Anthony McCoy to a one-year deal after he missed the entire 2013 season with a torn Achilles tendon. Seattle announced the signing yesterday prior to the start of free agency. McCoy would have been an unrestricted free agent after spending his entire career thus far with the Seahawks.
