Diamond Ducks take home opener
Oregon scored six runs in the bottom of the first inning last night on the way to an 8-2 non-conference baseball win over the Portland Pilots at PK Park. Junior catcher Shaun Chase accounted for half of the first-inning runs with a three RBI homer.
Four Duck pitchers sprinkled three hits over nine innings of work and combined to strike out 12 in the home opener for the Diamond ducks who will host Cal State Fullerton for a three game series beginning Friday.
