Here is the latest Oregon news from The Associated Press

HILLSBORO, Ore. (AP) – The Washington County dispatch agency hopes to educate people on when to call 911. So it’s debuting a campaign titled “You called 911 for that?!” The agency promises to post a weekly “most ridiculous use” of 911. The Oregonian reports the agency kicked off the campaign this week with a call from a person who reported that his debit card wouldn’t work at a gas station. The station was closed.

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) – Health insurance agents say some Oregonians who applied via Cover Oregon in time to secure January coverage are still without insurance. The Corvallis Gazette Times reports applications were either lost in the system or held up because of unspecified technical issues. Nearly four months after it was supposed to launch, Cover Oregon’s website still isn’t working.

SALEM, Ore. (AP) – Demolition crews have begun tearing off the roof of the old Boise Cascade warehouse in downtown Salem. The work starts the process of converting the warehouse into a building with 168 apartments plus commercial space.

PORTLAND, OR. (AP) – Zach Randolph scored 23 points and had 10 rebounds to lead the Memphis Grizzlies to a 98-81 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers last night. Lamarcus Aldridge had 27 points and 16 rebounds as the Blazers slipped three games behind Northwest Division-leading Oklahoma City and had their home winning streak snapped at five.
