Here is the latest Washington, Oregon and Alaska sports news from The Associated Press

SEATTLE (AP) – Carson Palmer overcame four interceptions to throw a 31-yard touchdown to Michael Floyd with 2:13 left, and the Arizona Cardinals kept their playoff hopes alive with a 17-10 win over Seattle yesterday, snapping the Seahawks 14-game home win streak. The Cardinals’ stingy defense flustered Russell Wilson into one of his worst days as a pro, delaying any celebration of an NFC West championship. The Seahawks can still clinch the NFC West with a win over St. Louis Sunday.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) – Defenseman Chris Tanev broke a tie in the third period and Vancouver beat the Winnipeg Jets 2-1 last night after Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo left early because of an injury. Luongo, one of the goalies being considered to play for Canada in the Sochi Olympics, left with 3:30 remaining in the first period. Brad Richardson opened the scoring for Vancouver on a power play midway through the first period.

HONOLULU (AP) – Demetrius Treadwell scored 16 of his 24 points in the first half in front of President Barack Obama and the first family and Akron beat Oregon State 83-71 yesterday in the first round of the Diamond Head Classic. Oregon State coach Craig Robinson is first lady Michelle Obama’s brother. The Beavers took their first loss with Obama in attendance after winning four previous contests he took in, including a win at Maryland last month.

RALSTON, Neb. (AP) – CJ Carter scored 17 points and Nebraska-Omaha has won six of their last seven games in beating Seattle University 76-69 yesterday. A fast-break layup by Alex Phillips and some clutch free throws in the final minute secured the win for Nebraska-Omaha. Isiah Umpig scored a career-high 35 points for Seattle University in the loss.

SEATTLE (AP) – Shabazz Napier scored 15 of his 20 points in the second half and grabbed six rebounds to lead No. 10 Connecticut to an 82-70 victory over Washington yesterday. Fellow guard Ryan Boatwright had 16 points and five rebounds and Lasan Kromah scored 14 points for Connecticut. C.J. Wilcox led Washington with 19 points on 6-of-15 shooting and had four assists and four fouls.
