The Siuslaw running back carried the ball 19 times for 101 yards and two touchdowns in last week's Far West League season opening win over South Umpqua. The Viking senior also kicked four of four "point afters", intercepted one pass and made several key tackles in the 28-6 victory.
Honorable mention is given to Mapleton running back A.J. Foster who had 8 carries for 81 yards and two touchdowns, plus a 70-yard kickoff return for a score in the Sailors' win over McKenzie.
