It’s a demonstration by a group called SLEEPS – Safe Legally Entitled Emergency Place to Sleep.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – A federal judge in Eugene has thrown out the lawsuit of Fall Creek man who said an IRS agent forced him to have sex with her under threat of a penalty on his tax audit. Judge Thomas Coffin said the sex occurred after hours, away from work and apart from her duties as a federal employee. KVAL reports Vincent Burroughs plans to appeal.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – State Treasurer Ted Wheeler is warning of the tight deadline for a decision on a possible Oregon-only project for a new bridge across the Columbia River from Portland to Vancouver. The Oregonian reports Wheeler is in a bind because he has the responsibility to analyze financing and its impact on Oregon’s debt capacity and credit rating.

BEND, Ore. (AP) – Dogs belonging to homeless young people will be vaccinated for parvovirus at an August 26 clinic in downtown Bend. The service is a partnership of the Bend Spay & Neuter Project and Cascade Youth & Family Center. KTVZ reports at least three puppies have died this month in a parvovirus outbreak in Drake Park.
