ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) – Kyle Seager hit a two-run homer in the 10th inning, and the Seattle Mariners won consecutive games in Texas for the first time in more than a year with a 4-2 win over the Rangers last night. Michael Saunders walked on a full-count pitch with two out before Seager connected against Robbie Ross for his third hit of the game. Seager’s 12th homer landed in the first row of seats in right field.

SEATTLE (AP) – Obafemi Martins scored his team-leading fifth and sixth goals of the season, and Michael Gspurning earned the shutout as the Seattle Sounders beat struggling D.C. United 2-0 last night. Martins’ first goal came at the end of the 19th minute. His second came midway through second-half stoppage time, a 10-yarder from straight in front of the net.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Futty Danso scored the lone goal on a penalty kick and the Portland Timbers defeated Monarcas Morelia 1-0 in an international friendly last night. Danso’s penalty kick came in the 40th minute. A short time later, Morelia midfielder Aldo Leao Ramirez was sent off for arguing a call with an official, leaving the team down a player.
