Jake Thompson was driven from the mound after 3 1/3 innings last night and Corvallis ended the game early; downing the Three Rivers Sandblasters 11-1.  The Sandblasters are back on the diamond this afternoon at home against Springfield at 4:00.  Airtime on Coast Radio Sports will be at 3:45.

Northwest League

The Eugene Emeralds snapped a 7-game losing streak with a 4-nothing shutout win over the Hillsboro Hops last night at PK Park.  Erik Schoenrock went seven innings, giving up only one hit and one walk while striking out eight for the win.  The two teams are up again tonight in Eugene for game two of the three-game series.
