Nic Cole threw two innings of relief for the win and the Three Rivers Sandblasters edged the Dallas Dirtbags 4-3 yesterday in the first half of an American Legion double header in Florence.  Jake Thompson started on the mound and scattered four hits over seven innings while striking out seven for the no-decision.

Travis Gallagher got the start in game two, but was driven from the mound by the Dirtbags after only three innings as Dallas came out on top 8-3 to even the series.  Dirtbags outfielder Scott Schepige (SHEP-idge) was three-for-four with two home runs, a double and three RBI.

Three Rivers will be on the diamond again tomorrow in Florence for a three o’clock game against the Mid Valley Rockets.
