TORONTO (AP) – Mark DeRosa hit a three-run homer, Melky Cabrera added a solo shot and the Toronto Blue Jays snapped a four-game losing streak by beating the Seattle Mariners 10-2 on Sunday. Brandon Morrow pitched three-hit ball over eight innings for his first win of the year. He struck out eight, matching a season high.

CHESTER, Pa. (AP) – Mauro Rosales scored a goal in the 64th minute to give the Seattle Sounders a 2-2 draw on the road against the Philadelphia Union on Saturday. Danny Cruz scored twice for the Union, who remained undefeated at home, but probably expected better against the Sounders. After Rosales got the equalizer for Seattle, the match got chippy.

POTLAND, Ore. (AP) – The Portland Timbers say veteran defender Mikael Silvestre is out six to nine months because of a left knee injury. Silvestre tore his anterior cruciate ligament Thursday during a scoreless draw against the New England Revolution and was taken from the field by stretcher. In response, the Timbers signed defender Pa Modou Kah for the rest of the season.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) – The University of Alaska Anchorage has signed a junior college transfer from California. Coach Ryan McCarthy says Adriana Dent, from Canyon Country, Calif., will play for the Seawolves next year. The 5-foot-8 guard is coming from Southern Idaho, and has two years of eligibility remaining. She averaged 7.5 points and 6.5 boards as a sophomore.
