Mapleton’s Maddie Frelich had three top three finishes and one second place at yesterday’s seven-way small schools track and field meet in Monroe.  Frelich was 2nd in the girls Long Jump with a distance of 13-1.50 and finished third in the 100 meters, the 100 hurdles and javelin.  Liz Harry was second in the javelin with a distance of 86-feet.

On the schedule…

The Viking girls will be in Myrtle Creek for a softball double-header at South Umpqua…. The boys at home for two against the Lancers.  First pitch is at three… the baseball games will air on Coast Radio Sports beginning at 2:45.

College Baseball…

Number six ranked Oregon State will be at home for a three game series against Utah beginning this  afternoon… number 16 Oregon is on the road in Berkeley for three games against Cal.

 

On the track… Siuslaw athletes will be competing at the Jim Robinson Twilight Invitational in Roseburg.  Prelims begin at 10:30 with finals set to begin at 5:15.
