Taking a Look at Coast Radio Sports…

The Oregon Ducks punched their ticket to the Sweet 16 Saturday afternoon with a dominant 74-57 victory over St. Louis in the NCAA basketball tournament.  Damyean Dotson scored 23 points… including all five of his first five 3-pointers to carry the 12th seeded Ducks into the second weekend for the first time since 2007.  Oregon will play overall number one seed Louisville in the Midwest Regional Friday afternoon in Indianapolis.

Turning to the diamond… number 13 Oregon completed a three game sweep of Arizona yesterday at PK Park in Eugene, edging the Wildcats 7-6.  That win followed earlier 2-1 and 5-1 victories Friday and Saturday.  The Ducks will host the Portland Pilots for a nonconference game tomorrow.

Oregon State lost their first Pac-12 game of the season Saturday afternoon, 4-nothing to Arizona State.  That loss followed a Friday night 5-run shut out win over the Sun Devils.  OSU claimed the series with a 4-3 win yesterday.  The Beavers will be in San Diego for three games beginning Thursday against USD.

Oregon, Oregon State and UCLA are all tied at 5-and-1 for the Pac-12 lead.
