Emeralds Put One in the Win Column
Hillsboro came out strong against the Eugene Emeralds last night jumping to a 4 nothing lead after 2 innings, but the Ems managed to claw their way back. Scoring 2 in the third and one in the fourth. The hops added another run in the bottom of the fourth, but Eugene got on a roll in the 7th scoring 4 runs and taking a 7 – 5 lead to win the game. The Ems are back on the field this evening in Hillsboro for game 2 of the three game series. First pitch is at 7:05.
