Thompson Shares Experiences

It has been quite the whirlwind adventure for Oregon State University’s Jake Thompson, but he says it has been everything he ever thought it would be and more:

“It’s been pretty much a dream come true.  I mean, growing up, I always thought about playing at the next level and continuing playing baseball throughout.  Just to get experience like college, get a chance to go to Omaha, which I’ve heard great things about, this week’s been awesome.”

Thompson says it’s the overall environment that has made this year so special.

“The close knit team and it’s just fun to be around. Makes baseball  a lot more fun and makes you want to come to the ballpark every day and work as hard as you can, and it’s just a great atmosphere here.”

For the Beavers the College World Series begins for them Saturday at noon.  Coverage begins at 11:30 on KCFM
