On the prep softball diamond…
Siuslaw outhit the Coquille Red Devils, but couldn’t convert them to runs yesterday, losing one-nothing to the Devils in Coquille. Claire Waggoner and Abby Coday were each two-for-three at the plate, Waggoner with a double and a stolen base. Siuslaw now prepares for the Far West League Season opener Tuesday against the Marshfield Pirates.
Prep track and field:
Siuslaw will be at the Junction City Invitational Saturday; Mapleton is at the Aaron and Marie Jones Invitational at McKenzie High School.
Pac-12 baseball…
Top-ranked Oregon State opens a three-game conference series with Utah tonight at Goss Stadium in Corvallis. First pitch is scheduled for 5:35… airtime on KCFM is at five. Saturday’s pregame is set for 1:30… and the series will wrap up Sunday with a 12:30 pregame.
Oregon is hosting the Anteaters of U-C Irvine this week at PK Park for a three-game non-league series beginning tonight.
