On the schedule today
It’s Sweet 16 Basketball for the men and the women… First up, for the men: Number 3 seed Oregon is in Kansas City where they’ll face seventh seeded Michigan at four o’clock this afternoon. That game will air on KCST with the pregame show at 3:30.
The Oregon women are the tenth seed in the Bridgeport, Connecticut regional… they face third seeded Maryland Saturday morning. Oregon State is the number two seed in the Stockton, California regional… they’ll play number three seed Florida State Saturday afternoon.
Prep sports today…
There’s plenty of activity on the track. The Vikings will host three other teams at the Siuslaw Ice Breaker beginning at 3:30 this afternoon at Hans Peterson Field. Mapleton is hosting several teams for the Sailor Relays. Viking baseball hits the diamond for the first time today in Sweet Home where they’ll face the Huskies in a game that had been originally scheduled for Friday but was moved up to beat the rain.
Viking softball is in Sweet Home also this afternoon.
