Oregon State advances to women’s Pac-12 Tourney semi-final

featureOSU beats Cal; will face winner of ASU-UCLA in semi tomorrow

Oregon State led wire-to-wire this afternoon and downed the Cal Bears 65-49 to advance to the semi-final of the Pac-12 women’s basketball tournament at Key Arena in Seattle.  OSU, tied at number six nationwide, is the number one seed in the tournament after they won their third straight conference title.  They’ll face the winner of the Arizona State – UCLA game tomorrow evening.

The Oregon women have a quarterfinal game of their own tonight.  They’ll face Washington at Key Arena.  The winner of that game will face either Washington State or Stanford tomorrow night in the other semi.

Men’s basketball…

It’s civil war weekend.  The sixth ranked Oregon Ducks will close out the regular season in Corvallis against Oregon State tomorrow afternoon.  Airtime on both KCST and KCFM is at 2:30… tipoff is set for three o’clock.  Oregon State will open the first day of play at the Men’s Pac-12 tournament Wednesday afternoon in Las Vegas… Oregon will get the day off and will open in the quarterfinals Thursday.-1
