Ducks down the Bears; Beavers see red in loss to Cardinal

featureOregon continues undefeated conference streak

Oregon’s streak is continuing, the Ducks’ 15th straight win came last night at home with an 86-63 victory over the Cal Bears.  The victory was a bittersweet one for many Ducks fans though as pre-season All American Dillon Brooks limped off the court in the first half and didn’t return.  Team officials tweeted that he had injured his lower left leg… he had surgery on that foot over the summer.  Oregon will host Stanford at 3:00 tomorrow… the pregame show on KCST is at 2:30.

Oregon State jumped out to an early nine-point lead last night at home, but couldn’t hold on to it, falling to Stanford 62-46.  Oregon State will face Cal tomorrow night at 7:30… the pregame on KCFM is at seven.

Prep basketball

Also on the court last night, prep basketball… the Mapleton Sailors were in Lowell for Mountain West League play against the Devils who came out on top in the girls’ game 67-25… the Devils beat the Mapleton boys also, 69-24.  The Sailors are at home this evening where they’ll host Falls City-Kings Valley Charter.

Viking basketball this evening was rescheduled for tomorrow because of a shortage of officials.  The girls will tip off at home at 1:30 against the Brookings-Harbor Bruins, the boys just after, at around three.  Both games will air on KCFM AM 1250-FM 104.1 with the pregame show at 1:15.

Wrestling

Viking wrestlers will be on the mats tomorrow in Sutherlin for the Sutherlin Invitational.
