Weekend sweep in Keizer; head home for final series at PK Park

The Eugene Emeralds shook off the effects of last week’s four losses with a weekend three-game-sweep of the Salem Keizer Volcanoes.

Eugene started things off Friday with a 6-4 win, then overcame a four run deficit in the sixth inning Saturday to cruise to a 14-9 victory.  Yesterday, Emerald’s Catcher Tyler Paine had one hit… a two run homer in the top of the eighth inning to lift Eugene to a 6-5 win.

The Emeralds begin their final home regular series of the season this evening against the Tri City Dust Devils.
