SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) – The Seattle Seahawks ended a five-game losing streak on San Francisco’s home field with a 19-3 win last night. Richard Sherman set up the only touchdown with another key defensive play in this heated rivalry, then made a second interception with the 49ers driving late.

FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) – Washington took a 78-56 rout of San Jose State last night in the opening round of the Wooden Legacy tournament. Donaven Dorsey scored 17 points and Robert Upshaw tied his own school record with seven blocked shots. Washington faces Long Beach State on Friday in the semifinals of the Wooden Legacy.

LAIE, Hawaii (AP) – Ali Gibson scored 20 points and Sydney Wiese 19, as No. 19 Oregon State rolled over Butler 85-53 in the Tom Weston Invitational in Hawaii. Jamie Weisner added 13 points for the Beavers. Oregon State made 15 of 28 3-pointers with 11 coming on 16 attempts in the first half when the Beavers took a 49-31 lead.

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) – Recent history in the rivalry game that dates to 1894 will be this year on the side of the No. 3 Ducks, who have won six straight in the series against their neighbors to the north. The Civil War is tied for the fifth most-contested rivalry in football, and it’s the oldest west of the Rocky Mountains.
