Here is the latest Washington, Oregon and Alaska sports news from The Associated Press

PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Jerome Williams took a three-hitter into the eighth inning, Andres Blanco hit his first homer in three years, and the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Seattle Mariners 4-1 last night. Mariners rookie lefty Roenis Elias (9-10) gave up one run and three hits in four innings. He constantly pitched out of jams because he walked six and hit one batter with a pitch.

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (AP) – Layne Roblyer hit his second home run of the tournament, helping Pearland, Texas, to an 11-4 victory over Lynnwood, Washington, yesterday in the Little League World Series. Roblyer, who homered against Philadelphia on Sunday, had a three-run shot in the third inning against Lynnwood, which was eliminated.

RENTON, Wash. (AP) – With one designed rollout and sprint to the end zone, Terrelle Pryor showed why the Seattle Seahawks sacrificed a late-round draft pick to add another quarterback. Pryor’s 44-yard touchdown run last Friday against San Diego showed off all his athleticism. But there is nothing guaranteed for Pryor in Seattle.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – Oregon senior center Hroniss Grasu never would have played football if his parents had their way. They considered it too dangerous. But lucky for Oregon the Grasus eventually gave in and allowed their son to play. Now a senior, Grasu is unquestionably the No. 3 Ducks’ anchor, according to quarterback Marcus Mariota. He leads a strong group of linemen that helped Oregon lead the Pac-12 in rushing, scoring and total offense last season.
