Sandblasters Open Papa’s Tourney With a Win
Taylor Travess sprinkled seven hits over a complete game seven innings on the mound; plus went two-for-two at the plate with two runs scored; pacing the Three Rivers Sandblasters to a 5-3 win over the Eugene Challengers yesterday.
The Sandblasters are playing in the Papa’s Pizza Invitational Tournament at North Eugene’s Swede Johnson stadium through this weekend.

The Eugene Emeralds and Spokane Indians took it to 12 innings last night at PK Park in Eugene. It ended suddenly on Jalen Goree’s solo shot over the left field wall to give the Ems the 2-1 victory. The two teams will wrap up their five game series this evening.
