Mapleton Track and Field
The Mapleton Sailors came out on top in a two-way track and field meet yesterday against the Siletz Valley Warriors. Individual event winners for the boys: Justin Schaaf (shoff) in the 200 and the discus; Tucker Ford in the 15-hundred and three-thousand; Anthony Riggs in the 300 meter hurdles; Kyle Doran in the Javelin; Eli Peterson in the pole vault and Chris Free in the triple-jump.
For the girls… Katie Dearman won the 15-hundred and the 300 meter hurdles; Maddy Frelich won the hundred meter hurdles and the javelin; Josi Hays took the discus and the shot put; Chelsea Simington the pole vault and the long jump. Olivia Nichol won the high jump; Erin Wolford the 200 meter.
College Baseball
The Easter Holiday has moved college baseball schedules up… the Oregon Ducks will host Washington State for three Pac-12 games beginning today at PK Park. Oregon State has the weekend off, they’ll be at Sacramento State Monday.
