PROVO, Utah (AP) – Anson Winder scored 17 points and Matt Carlino added 15 to lead BYU to a 73-65 victory over No. 25 Gonzaga last night. Eric Mika added 13 points and eight rebounds for the Cougars (19-10, 11-5 West Coast Conference) who snapped a five-game losing streak to the Bulldogs (23-5, 13-2). Sam Dower had 14 points and Kevin Pangos added 13 for the Bulldogs.

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) – Angus Brandt scored 16 points to lead Oregon State to a 68-57 win over Washington State yesterday. Devon Collier added 14 points for the Beavers (14-11, 6-7 Pac-12), who improved to 11-2 in Gill Coliseum on the year. Oregon State has three of its five remaining games at home. DaVonte Lacy scored 18 points for Washington State (9-17, 2-12 Pac-12).

SAN DIEGO (AP) – Duda Sanadze scored 15 points, including a basket with 59 seconds to go that put San Diego ahead for good, as the Toreros defeated Portland 61-59 last night. After Sanadze’s bucket, Johnny Dee, who also scored 15 points, added two free throws for a 60-56 lead. Thomas van der Mars led Portland with 18 points with Sharp adding 16.

SEATTLE (AP) – Jerome Garrison made a free throw with 12.6 seconds left and then blocked the potential game-winning shot as Grand Canyon edged Seattle 74-73 last night. Seattle got the rebound after Garrison missed the second of two free throws, but he raced up court and blocked D’Vonne Pickett Jr.’s shot in the lane from behind. GCU grabbed the rebound to secure the victory.
