BOULDER, Colo. (AP) – Askia Booker scored 26 points, including six of eight free throws in the final minute, and Colorado hung on to beat Washington State 68-63 last night. Xavier Johnson added 20 points and nine rebounds for Colorado (17-6, 6-4 Pac-12). DaVonte Lacy, who missed the first meeting with a rib injury, scored a career-high 34 points for Washington State (9-13, 2-8).

NEW YORK (AP) – Nicolas Batum had 20 points and 10 rebounds, Wesley Matthews scored 18 points, and the Portland Trail Blazers overcame poor-shooting nights by their two All-Stars to beat the New York Knicks 94-90 yesterday. LaMarcus Aldridge finished with 15 points and 12 rebounds while shooting just 5 of 17 from the floor, while Damian Lillard shot 4 of 12 for his 12 points.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) – Brent Sass maintains his lead in the Yukon Quest International Sled Dog race. The musher from Eureka, Alaska, was the first to arrive in Dawson City. He came into the checkpoint late Tuesday night, about two-and-a-half hours ahead of the second place musher, Allen Moore of Two Rivers.

SEATTLE (AP) – Seattle Seahawks coaches, players and staff say they wouldn’t have been able to win the Super Bowl without the help of their fans – the 12th Man. The team thanked its loyal followers yesterday at a ceremony at CenturyLink Field, capping a day of boisterous celebration and parade that drew an estimated 700,000 revelers to Seattle.
