Here is the latest Oregon news from The Associated Press

ALBANY, Ore. (AP) – State Police says a car being chased by a trooper collided with another car yesterday afternoon on Interstate 5 near Albany, injuring a family. Two adults and two juveniles in the car that was hit were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. Troopers say a man and woman in the fleeing car were arrested on outstanding warrants.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Oregon shoppers should soon see Dungeness crab in local fish markets. The season started over the weekend, about two weeks late. The season normally opens Dec. 1, but the crabs needed more time to fill with meat. KATU reports the crabs are required to have a half-pound of edible meat for every two pounds of crab.

PENDLETON, Ore. (AP) – As the state of Oregon prepares to close a mental hospital in Pendleton, a new cluster of mental health facilities is emerging nearby. Crews are remodeling a former training center for people with developmental disabilities. The East Oregonian reports that the campus will include three independently operated five-bed facilities. The new facilities will be run by private organizations, not the state.

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) – Damian Lillard’s spinning fadeaway with one-tenth of a second left in overtime lifted the Portland Trail Blazers to a 111-109 victory over the Detroit Pistons last night. LaMarcus Aldridge scored 27 points for Portland, which rallied from a 13-point deficit in the fourth quarter. Lillard finished with 23.
