PHOENIX (AP) – Goran Dragic scored 26 points, leading the Phoenix Suns to a 104-91 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers last night and giving Jeff Hornacek a win in his coaching debut. The Suns’ Miles Plumlee scored 18 points, 16 in the first half, and grabbed 15 rebounds in his first NBA start. Damian Lillard scored 32, including 6 of 12 3-pointers, for the Trail Blazers. LaMarcus Aldridge added 28.

SEATTLE (AP) – Brad Evans blasted in a hard shot in the 28th minute and Eddie Johnson added an insurance goal during second-half stoppage time to give the Seattle Sounders a 2-0 victory over the Colorado Rapids in the MLS Western Conference knockout playoff game last night. The No. 4 seeded Sounders advanced to face the No. 1 Portland Timbers in the two-leg, aggregate-goals West semifinals. The first game will be Saturday in Seattle.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) – Tomas Tatar scored his first goal of the season late in the second period and the Detroit Red Wings defeated the Vancouver Canucks yesterday 2-1. Daniel Sedin scored for Vancouver, which finished with a season-low 20 shots and had its four-game winning streak come to an end. Henrik Sedin set up Vancouver’s first goal to extend his point streak to 10 games.

RENTON, Wash. (AP) – The loss of wide receiver Sidney Rice for the season to a knee injury is just the latest problem for the Seattle Seahawks offense. Seattle must now try to fill Rice’s spot in a passing game already struggling due to poor protection for quarterback Russell Wilson. The Seahawks gave up seven sacks to St. Louis and had just 135 yards of offense in their 14-9 win over the Rams on Monday.

SEATTLE (AP) – Washington wide receiver Kasen Williams will be sidelined up to four months after surgery to repair a broken bone in his lower left leg and an injury to his foot. Washington coach Steve Sarkisian announced the timeline on Williams after practice yesterday. Williams was injured in the second quarter of Washington’s 41-17 win over California last Saturday.
