ST. LOUIS (AP) __ The Seahawks have started this season 3-1 away from Seattle, matching last year’s road win total, and have a chance to improve on that mark tonight in St. Louis against the Rams.

Seattle hasn’t won four road games in a season since 2006. They’ve lost two of their last three in St. Louis, but will be facing backup Rams quarterback Kellen Clemens with Sam Bradford out for the season.

ST. LOUIS (AP) – Pro football may have a firm foothold as America’s game, but in baseball-mad St. Louis, the NFL is decidedly second fiddle. Expect empty seats at Edward Jones Dome tonight as the Seattle Seahawks visit the St. Louis Rams. They’ll be playing the same time the Cardinals are in the World Series against the Boston Red Sox just down eight blocks away.

SEATTLE (AP) – The Seattle Sounders played the Los Angeles Galaxy to 1-1 draw in the MLS regular-season finale last night. Clint Dempsey finally got on the board in his ninth game back in Major League Soccer, scoring in the 30th minute to give the Sounders the lead, but Robbie Keane’s half-volley goal late in the second half gave the Galaxy the draw. Seattle will host Colorado in the play-in round on Wednesday.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – Second-ranked Oregon and sixth-ranked Stanford get a break next weekend before a Thursday night clash in Palo Alto, Calif., that qualifies as one of the biggest games of the season. The Ducks are coming off a 42-14 victory Saturday night over UCLA. Stanford jumped to No. 6 in the AP rankings, boosted by a physical 20-12 victory over Oregon State.

SEATTLE (AP) – Former Washington coach Don James was remembered in a memorial service as a caring family man, dear friend and successful coach who had every aspect of his life planned out, including the memorial to honor his passing. Many former players and coaches attended the memorial Sunday afternoon. James died Oct. 20 at age 80 from pancreatic cancer.
