Here is the latest Oregon news from The Associated Press

LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. (AP) – Two former Lake Oswego police officers who had sex on duty with co-workers will not be able to work again in Oregon law enforcement. The state Board on Public Safety Standards and Training voted yesterday in Salem to strip Martin Bradford and Joshua Day of their credentials. The Oregonian reports both men resigned in October of last year during internal investigations.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Police in Portland have arrested an 18-year-old man in an Oct. 11 double shooting at a light rail station that left a 15-year-old boy dead and a man wounded. Sgt. Chuck Lovell said Silvano Velasquez was booked yesterday for investigation of charges stemming from a late-night shooting at the Holgate Transit Station. Abukar Madey had been shot in the head. He died two days later.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Oregon’s new health insurance exchange, whose website is glitchy, is getting nearly twice as many applications on paper as electronically. Cover Oregon says that as of Wednesday, the marketplace has received 4,260 paper applications and 2,459 electronic ones. Applicants can use the website to get information about plans, but it isn’t reliable enough to tell them which specific plans and subsidies they are eligible for.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – The Oregon Transportation Department has turned to rocks – really big rocks – in its latest effort to eliminate a longstanding homeless camp under a section of Interstate 205 in Portland. KATU-TV reports the department moved out the campers and has moved in giant boulders at Foster Road. If the rocks keep campers away, officials say they’ll try putting boulders at other problem areas around Portland.
