FOREST GROVE, Ore. (AP) – The second Forest Grove girl who was struck by a vehicle while playing in leaves has died. The Multnomah County medical examiner’s office tells The Oregonian that 11-year-old Abigail Robinson died of her injuries Monday night. Police say her step-sister, 6-year-old Anna Dieter-Eckerdt, died Sunday in the accident near their home. The vehicle was located but police made no arrest, saying the driver may not have realized that children were in the leaves that were piled in a greenway and partially into the street.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – The former head of a national charity has been indicted on wire fraud and money laundering charges, accused of siphoning $4 million from National Relief Charities for personal benefit. The U.S. attorney’s office in Portland says Brian J. Brown of Beaverton pleaded not guilty yesterday and was released pending a Dec. 17 trial.

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. (AP) – Police in Springfield say officers chased and arrested a man they say tried to steal lottery winnings from another person at a casino in a shopping center. KVAL-TV reports that witnesses say the man ran off yesterday after trying to take someone else’s winnings. Police say the victim managed to hold on to his property. After chasing the suspect over a couple of fenced yards, police arrested a 26-year-old man.

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. (AP) – The Pac-12 Conference has reprimanded and fined Oregon defensive coordinator Nick Aliotti $5,000 for his public complaints about conference officiating. He was also cited for his remarks about Washington State’s decision to leave in its starters and throw for two late touchdowns in the No. 2 Ducks’ 62-38 victory.
