Here is the latest Washington, Oregon and Alaska sports news from The Associated Press

RENTON, Wash. (AP) – For the second straight week, Brandon Browner was struggling. After a rough game in Indianapolis, the Tennessee Titans were not shying away from going after the Seattle Seahawks cornerback. Pete Carroll felt Browner needed a break. So for most of the second quarter last Sunday, Browner was a spectator on the sideline in the role of student. Most teams don’t possess the depth in the secondary where a starter and former Pro Bowl selection can be given a break such as Browner was. But it’s another sign of the depth the Seahawks have built in a secondary that remains among the best in the NFL.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Ryan Kesler scored the second of his two goals with 2:25 left in the third period to lead the Vancouver Canucks to a 3-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers last night. Chris Higgins also scored for Vancouver and Roberto Luongo made the win stand with 20 saves. Tye McGinn scored both goals for the Flyers, who dropped to 1-6. The Flyers haven’t scored more than two goals in a game this season.
