PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Authorities say a 14-year-old boy from the Baker City area shot and killed two men at a deer hunting camp in the Blue Mountains. Grant County deputies say the boy fled the shooting scene but was captured after he apparently accidentally shot himself in the leg. The sheriff yesterday didn’t give a motive for the shooting.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Police say a man who robbed a southeast Portland cafe last night fired multiple shots inside the bar but didn’t hit anyone. The man ran from the bar at Mr. Dealers Double-Up Café with an undisclosed amount of money. Police say officers and a K-9 team searched the area but didn’t locate the man.

HILLSBORO, Ore. (AP) – The Washington County sheriff’s office says a Beaverton woman who was driving erratically led deputies on a 35-mile chase last night, with 27 of those miles on only three tires. Deputies eventually rammed her car with a PIT maneuver on Highway 26. Deputies say alcohol was not a factor and they don’t know why the 43-year-old was driving erratically and refusing to stop.

WEST LINN, Ore. (AP) – Police in the Portland suburb of West Linn say a burglar robbed an 88-year-old woman while she slept, even prowling through her bedroom. Sgt. Dave Kempas says the intruder broke a side window in a basement door late Wednesday night or early yesterday. They say the thief made off with $10,000 in jewelry, a Rolex watch valued at $4,500, a purse with credit cards, a laptop computer and a VW Beetle. Police said yesterday they had no suspects.
