Athlete of the Week
Siuslaw Cross Country standout Mack Marbas is Coast Radio Sports’ Athlete of the Week. The senior distance runner ran to victory twice last week, claiming the individual championship at the Tugman Invitational in Lakeside, then besting all others at the Molalla Invitational.
Honorable Mention is given to Siuslaw defensive end J.B. Dodson who snagged two interceptions in the Vikings’ 28-21 victory last week over South Umpqua.
On the schedule…
The Douglas Trojans will be in Florence for Far West Volleyball against the Siuslaw Vikings this evening at six. In the Mountain West it’s Alsea at Mapleton. Gold Beach will be at Reedsport.
