Northwest League Baseball Winding Down

The Eugene Emeralds hit the road for the final week of the Northwest League baseball season today.  They open a three game series against the Hops in Hillsboro.  Saturday they begin the final three game series of the year in Keizer.

#3 Ducks Open At Home This Weekend

Oregon receiver Josh Huff hopes to remake his legacy in his final season.  Huff has had an uneven career with the Ducks.  He’s been dogged by injuries; been in an offense that puts more emphasis on the run than the pass; and, he still worries that an arrest that resulted in a full acquittal may have nonetheless tarnished his reputation.

Last season Huff had a career best 32 catches for 493 yards and seven touchdowns.  His numbers likely would have been better had he not been slowed down by a left knee injury.

But, Huff says everything he’s gone through has made him stronger and he’s ready to make a statement this season, which opens when the third-ranked Ducks host Nicholls State.  That game kicks off Saturday at one pm.
