Michael Saunders walked on a full-count pitch with two out before Seager connected against Robbie Ross for his third hit of the game. Seager’s 12th homer landed in the first row of seats in right field.

SEATTLE (AP) – Obafemi Martins scored his team-leading fifth and sixth goals of the season, and Michael Gspurning earned the shutout as the Seattle Sounders beat struggling D.C. PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Futty Danso scored the lone goal on a penalty kick and the Portland Timbers defeated Monarcas Morelia 1-0 in an international friendly last night. Danso’s penalty kick came in the 40th minute. A short time later, Morelia midfielder Aldo Leao Ramirez was sent off for arguing a call with an official, leaving the team down a player.
