MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) – Vandals contaminated the fuel of a log loader being used in a tree thinning operation near Ashland. The Jackson County sheriff’s department says the equipment was vandalized over the weekend. The loader sputtered to a stop Monday and a mechanic had to replace the fuel and filter. The department says graffiti left on the side of the loader said, “kill cops not trees.”

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – A man who took pictures of at least 13 women in restroom stalls has been sentenced in Eugene to 10 years in prison. Forty-five-year-old Richard Casavan of Eugene pleaded guilty to charges of invasion of privacy, burglary and possession of methamphetamine in a 31-count indictment. Lane County Deputy District Attorney Christopher Parosa asked for a long sentence because Casavan faced nearly identical charges in 2005.

SALEM, Ore. (AP) – Police have arrested one woman suspected of driving the getaway car in the robbery of three markets in little more than an hour early Sunday in Salem. Police arrested Robin Templeton in Salem on Tuesday when she was driving a car a car that matched the description of the one in the robbery spree. She’s jailed on robbery charges. The Statesman Journal reports police are still looking for Roberta Hudson, who is thought to be homeless.

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) – Police say a Corvallis man got behind the wheel less than two hours after being stopped for drunken driving – not long enough to sober up. The Corvallis Gazette-Times reports that 40-year-old Juan Jose Mejia Gutierrez had a blood-alcohol content of 0.15 when he arrived at jail early Sunday. He was arrested a short time later with a BAC of 0.13.
