SALEM, Ore. (AP) – The Oregon Senate has voted to ban people under age 18 from using tanning beds. Young people who have doctor’s notes could use the tanning beds, and the Senate amended the bill to allow 17-year-olds to use them with their parents’ permission.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – A southeastern Oregon sheriff says he’s getting reports that a missing Oklahoma teen has been seen in various places around the Northwest. However, Harney County Sheriff Dave Glerup says none of those reports have led to 19-year-old Dustin Self. The teen’s pickup truck was found in the rugged Steens Mountain area.

GRANTS PASS, Ore. (AP) – The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife is expanding the area where it is killing sea birds to see if they are eating young salmon.
