On the softball diamond yesterday Siuslaw spotted the Coquille Red Devils five runs in the second inning, but then steadily clawed their way back for an 8-7 win at home.  Halee Richards was two-for-three at the plate; Ashlee Cole was one for two with a triple and two walks, scoring twice.  Lona Dengler produced a two-RBI single for the Lady Vikings and also struck out six while scattering four hits over seven innings of work for the win.

The Lady Vikings are back on the diamond this afternoon for non-conference softball against the Billies in Pleasant Hill.  Siuslaw Baseball is in Pleasant Hill also… both game begin at five.
