OREGON CITY, Ore. (AP) – Police say they identified a suspect in an Oregon City bank robbery by a Clackamas County Jail identification card found in the pocket of a jacket tossed away by the fleeing robber. The Oregonian reports officers arrested the 32-year-old suspect within about 20 minutes of yesterday’s robbery.

LINCOLN CITY, Ore. (AP) – The 26-year-old Washington state man suspected of killing his grandparents last weekend and fleeing to the Oregon coast is in serious condition at a Portland hospital. Michael Boysen had been the subject of a multistate manhunt. After a standoff at a Lincoln City hotel, Boysen was found with apparently self-inflicted cuts.

PENDLETON, Ore. (AP) – Research on the Umatilla River say repairs to irrigation dams have allowed more protected steelhead and salmon to pass through. The East Oregonian reports that biologists have improved fish ladders by cleaning out gravel and adding rocks to counter erosion around the ladders.

SALEM, Ore. (AP) – Oregon prison guards have filed four more lawsuits against inmates accused of punching, stabbing or spitting on them with HIV-infected blood. The Statesman Journal reports that the lawsuits were filed last month by three corrections officers who work at the Oregon State Correctional Institution or Oregon State Penitentiary.
