The San Francisco Dons stopped the Oregon State Beavers 15 game win streak last night in Corvallis with a 5-1 win on the diamond.

The number three ranked Beavers only run came in the sixth inning with a solo home run off the bat of Dylan Davis… his first of the season.  Oregon State finishes the midweek series tonight against the Dons… then will take on Arizona in Tucson Friday for the Pac-12 opener.

Ryon Healy went two-for-four with a solo home run to lead number 16 Oregon to a 4-3 win over Texas State in Eugene.  The Bobcats took an early lead that changed hands several times before Healy tied it in the sixth.

Oregon took the lead for good later that inning and cruised to the win.  The two teams meet again this evening.  Oregon opens the Pac-12 Friday in Los Angeles against USC.

Viking Baseball is on the diamond this afternoon for the first game of the season… game time has been moved up to four o’clock… the pregame show on KCST begins at 3:45.  Viking softball originally scheduled for today has been cancelled.

The Pac-12 Men’s basketball tournament gets underway today in Las Vegas.  Oregon State tips off at 2:30 against Colorado… airtime on KCFM is at 2:00.  The winner of today’s game will face Arizona tomorrow at 2:30.   Oregon fell from the top 25 with two losses last week.  They still have a bye in the opening round of the tourney… they’ll tip off tomorrow against either Washington or Washington State.
