Siuslaw wrestling standout Ryan Connor is Coast Radio Sports’ Athlete of the Week. The Far West District Champion at 285 pounds swept through the Southwestern Oregon Regional wrestling finals last week, winning the championship at that weight class and earning the right to compete at the OSAA 4A state finals.
Honorable mention goes to Viking senior Alex Dodson who scored 25 points and pulled down 18 rebounds in two wins for the Siuslaw girls last week to wrap up the season.
Viking boys basketball will be on the court tonight in a Far West League tiebreaker with the Brookings-Harbor Bruins in Bandon. Airtime is set for 7:15… tipoff at 7:30. The winner will advance to the OSAA Round-of-24 Saturday.
