A man was shot in the back at about 9 p.m. Saturday as he walked along a street. He was in critical condition at Emmanuel Hospital yesterday. The Washington County Interagency Gang Enforcement Team was called in to investigate. Witnesses reported seeing two men in their 30s running from the scene. They were both wearing dark blue clothing.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Oregon state police say a 16-year-old girl whose body was found along Highway 6 east of Tillamook was shot to death. KATU-TV says Kayla Ann Hendrickson was from the Beaverton area. An autopsy conducted yesterday confirmed Hendrickson died of gunshot wounds. Police say a person of interest in the case fatally shot himself in Northern California Saturday. The man’s name was not immediately released. Oregon State Police Lt. PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Portland police say a 42-year-old pickup-truck driver was intoxicated when he ran a red light, collided with a taxi cab and struck two pedestrians, killing one. Brent Allan Warstler of Cornelius, Ore., was charged with first-degree manslaughter, second-degree assault and other crimes following the collision in Portland’s Old Town neighborhood at about 2:30 a.m. yesterday. Investigators say his 2012 Dodge Ram veered onto a sidewalk after colliding with the taxi. Rebecca Lynn Bray, a 20-year-old from Gresham, was pronounced dead at the scene. Brandi Lucille Butner of Fairview was taken to a hospital.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Portland police are investigating an armed robbery at a licensed medical marijuana growing operation. They say two male suspects approached a man on the back porch of a house in the Montavilla neighborhood and one struck him with a handgun. Both went inside as a woman at the house hid in the bathroom. They got away with several pounds of processed marijuana and fled in a car with two other people in it. The man who was pistol-whipped was taken to a Portland hospital.
