Liz Harry had 19 points for the Mapleton Sailors, but the Devils came out on top 82 – 35 to start things off in Lowell last night. In the boys game the Devils also came away with a win. Michael Harkema led the Sailors with 11 points; Tucker Ford added ten.
Viking basketball standout Alex Dodson is Coast Radio Sports’ Athlete of the Week. The senior wing averaged 11 points per game for the lady Vikings in four games last week and leads the team with a 7.5 point per game average on the season. Honorable Mention goes to junior guard Ashlee Cole who also averaged 11 points per game in four games last week.
On the schedule today… Viking basketball is on the court against the Newport Cubs. The boys will be in Florence at seven… the girls in Newport, also at seven. That game will air on Coast Radio Sports with the pregame show set for 6:45.
