Sandblasters Split

Six runs in the bottom of the ninth inning weren’t enough yesterday afternoon as the Three Rivers Sandblasters fell 12-8 to the Canyon Crushers in the first game of a double header at Dodson Field in Florence.  Six ‘Blasters errors contributed to the Crushers victory.

In game two Three Rivers had 13 hits, including a Ryan Smith two-run home run in the first inning.  Cody Anderson was three-for-three with one RBI and picked up the win on the mound with six innings of work as the Sandblasters eased past the Crushers of North Salem 7-5.

Emeralds Open Road Trip in the Gem State

In Boise, all seven of Eugene’s runs came with two-outs and the Emeralds opened a 14-game road trip with a 7-4 victory over the Hawks.  Corey Adamson broke a three-three tied in the bottom of the seventh with a two-run single to give Eugene the lead for good.  The two teams meet again this evening.
