CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) – Jared Cunningham had 21 points and Devon
Collier 20 as Oregon State pulled away in the second half to defeat
UCLA 87-84 Thursday night.
Angus Brandt added 13 points and five assists for the Beavers
(12-7, 2-5 Pac-12), who ended a 13-game losing streak to the Bruins
dating to 2005.
Lazeric Jones had 17 points and eight assists for UCLA (10-8,
3-3). David Wear and Travis Wear added 16 points each, and Jerime
Anderson had 11 points and nine assists.
Both teams shot 58 percent from the field in the high-scoring
game.
Cunningham’s two free throws with 10:04 left gave Oregon State
its first double-digit lead at 66-55.
Consecutive baskets by David Wear got the Bruins within 74-68
with five minutes remaining, but Oregon State’s Ahmad Starks
answered with a 3-pointer.
UCLA got as close as three from there, but only in the closing
seconds.

PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) – Faisal Aden scored 33 points and
Washington State beat Stanford 81-69 last night. The Cougars
snapped a three-game losing streak and knocked the Cardinal out of
first place in the conference on a night where hazardous weather
kept the crowd at an announced 3,119. Brock Motum added 16 points
and Reggie Moore scored 13 for Washington State.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – Garrett Sim scored 20 points and Oregon made
five 3-pointers in the second half to hold off USC 65-62 last
night. Devoe Joseph added 16 points and Olu Ashaolu had 11 for the
Ducks, who have won three straight and are off to their best start
since going 18-1 in 2006-07. Maurice Jones scored 22 points for the
Trojans, who are 0-6 so far in conference play.

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) – Guy Landry Edi came off the bench to score
15 points and spark Gonzaga to a 74-63 win over San Francisco last
night. Edi, a junior college transfer, had 10 points in the first
half, one more than his previous Gonzaga high, as the Bulldogs used
a closing 10-1 flourish to build a 41-32 halftime lead. Three
starters reached double figures for 15-3 Gonzaga.

STANFORD, Calif. (AP) – Nnemkadi Ogwumike (nehm-KAH’-dee
ah-GWOO’-mih-kay) had 22 points and 10 rebounds, Chiney Ogwumike
scored 19 and had 12 boards and No. 4 Stanford shook off a sluggish
start to beat Washington State 75-41. Joslyn Tinkle had nine
points, eight rebounds and four assists as Stanford extended its
school-record home winning streak to 72.

BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) – California held Regina Rogers, the
nation’s leader in field-goal percentage, to her worst shooting
night of the season and the Bears picked apart Washington’s
conference-leading defense in a commanding 71-47 win. Reshanda Gray
and Talia Caldwell had 16 points each for the Bears, while Brittany
Boyd added 14 points, eight assists and three steals.

LOS ANGELES (AP) – Rebekah Gardner scored 19 points and Markel
Walker just missed a triple-double as UCLA defeated Oregon State
69-60 last night. Walker had 16 points, 18 rebounds and nine
assists for the Bruins. Ali Gibson’s 16 points led the Beavers, who
have lost two in a row and five of six. Sage Indendi scored 13 and
Earlysia Marchbanks had 11 points.
