Florence City Council meets this evening

The Florence City Council will get a pair of updates this evening.  First up: Cal Applebee, executive director of the Florence Area Chamber of Commerce will give a report on the chamber’s marketing activity for the year and confirm that organization’s request for $50-thousand in transient room tax money.

The other report will come from Community Development Director Sandra Belson.  Two years ago, recognizing economic conditions, the council granted an automatic two-year extension for a half dozen projects that had received preliminary, final or design review approval.  Belson has outlined those six projects, as well as five other projects that have received approval in the past year… and could expire in the coming year.  The council meets at seven pm this evening.
